Description
CM BATH & KITCHEN is a single component silicone sealant which When exposed to atmospheric humidity cures rapidly to form a permanent Flexible and extremely durable weather tight sealant.
The cured sealant has a good movement accommodation factor throughout a wide temperature range, resistance to severe weathering is excellent.
CM BATH & KITCHEN bonds strongly to clean uncoated glass, ceramic or painted surfaces without the need for a primer.
For most other substrates it is recommended that CM MULTI WIPES are used to ensure optimal bonding.
CM BATH & KITCHEN should be used on applications where joint loads are high and where relative movement between substrates is minimal.
Packaged in a recyclable grade 310ml cartridge.
CM BATH & KITCHEN meets the requirements to BS5889 (1989) Type B and US Fed Spec TTS 001543A (Class A) and TTS 00230C (Class A) and ISO 11600 F&G -25HM 846 food safe .
Conforms to CE Marking :
EN 15651-2 : Type G CC (G25 HM) , EN 15651-3 : Type S (XS 1).

Technical Data Sheet
Preparation of surfaces
Before priming thorough preparation is essential.
The joint should be completely dry and free from all traces of dirt, dust, grease and any previous sealants or other foreign matter.
Normal cleaning may be carried out by wire brushing (hand or machine operated), sand and/or grit blasting.
All joints should be blown with clean, dry oil free compressed air ensuring removal of loose matter.
When re-sealing old joints prepare by use of mechanical concrete saw or similar to obtain clean contamination free substrate.
In all cases a clean bonding surface must be obtained.
Following preparation place into the base of the joint a bond breaker or back up foam to form the correct cross section for the joint sealant bonding to the base of the joint.
Cleaning Surfaces
Cleaning the joint should be prepared with CM MULTI WIPES .
In case of porous surfaces such as concrete, timber and epoxy nosing use CM SOLVENT.
Allow thirty minutes for the solvent to evaporate.
It is important for optimum performance of CM BATH & KITCHEN that CM MULTI WIPES are used.
Application
Cut off top of the cartridge just above nozzle thread
Screw nozzle into place and cut the nozzle to the required size at an angle of 45 degrees.
Apply by gun – place the nozzle angle flush to the joint and extrude a continuous bead of CM BATH & KITCHEN into the joint.
Move the nozzle along the joint while extruding.
Adequate contact between CM BATH & KITCHEN and the substrate must be ensured to eliminate the possibility of adhesion failure.
After sealing release gun pressure
Surface and edge finishing
The edges of joints must be kept clean and to a neat line by use of masking tape prior to priming This masking will protect the surface adjacent to the joint and should be removed after application of CM BATH & KITCHEN and before it has set.
NOTE:
Lower temperatures reduce curing speed.
DO NOT APPLY CM BATH & KITCHEN AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 0’C.
Cleaning of tools
Tools should be cleaned after use with CM MULTI – WIPES
